General Objectives:

Physical management of medical stocks (reception, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of medical supplies, equipment, food items, spare parts) according to MSF standards and the line manager’s instructions, in order to ensure the overall functioning of MSF activities

Key responsibilities include:

·         Supervise material orders and dispatching in order to ensure rational use.

·         Receive orders and deliveries, identifying potential discrepancies against cargo manifest or other, and reporting them. Stores materials in accordance with the system in place in order to ensure continuous availability. It includes:

o    Ensure correct entries on the stock cards and Unifield

o    Prepare orders of the different consumption units (departments and projects), ensuring the packaging and proper dispatching. Report to line manager, about abnormalities or changes in consumption patterns. Also informs the line manager as soon as stock reaches alert threshold

o    Pack (according to transport means), weigh and label freight  and assign a shipping number to each package, in accordance with the line manager’s instructions

o    Carry out or participate in regular inventories including EPREP stock

o    Report missing material/ damage/ robbery

o    Control warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensure doors and other exists are secured

·         Ensure that all items are well organized and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.)

·         Control warehouse facilities in order to ensure good storing conditions according to MSF protocols.

·         Assist the line manager with preparation of the stock report.

·         Appropriately manages the EPREP stock, ensuring any items within it are reported if they reach less than 6 months remaining shelf life

Knowledge and Skills Required:

·         Essential basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment (essential)

• Intermediate or above user skills in MS Office especially Excel (essential)

Good communication skills in English and Urdu (essential)
