Program Background Summary: The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners, Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management, is working with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of children in grades one and two. The project aims to achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: improved classroom learning environment for reading, improved policies and systems for reading, and community based support for reading in Pakistan. 

Job Overview/Summary

Under the supervision of Technical Director Supplementary Resource Development, the incentive work will assist the supply chain department/program team located in Islamabad central office.

Major Deliverables:

Assist Supply Chain Manager in coordination with vendor and regional offices

Update Supply Chain Manager regarding distribution of Books

Coordination with recipient/ supplier for deliveries of material to designated locations

Plan, prepare and coordinate the timing of distribution of items/goods and secure duly signed delivery reports and document. 

Prepare reports of activities and Keep an up to date and accurate record of all the books distributed;

Develop and maintain the distribution plan for all locations by ensuring sorting and loading of books after verifying proper sets and incorporate this information in a Way bill. Ensure consistency of focal persons detail prior to its delivery

Monitor Packing and sorting of Books

Pasting stickers on the books and boxes

Submit closing report of the activity

Photocopying of required documents

Scanning Documents

Perform other related duties as and when requested

 Payment Mechanism

The payment of the incentive worker shall be on monthly basis on the completion of required deliverables.

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduation at least, preferably Business Administration.

Work Experience: Fresh Graduate; interest in Supply chain is preferred

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

Entering data using MS excel

Maintain data (both in soft and hard form) in a logical order   

Ability to work in pressure and conducive work environmen

Language Skills: 

Coordinate and communicate both verbal and written in Urdu and English.

Certificates or Licenses:

Use of computer e.g. Word, Excel, Power point, Urdu typing, drop box, One Drive, inter etc.
