Job Description:
  • All ACTED premises are to be protected 24h/day by guards and must be closed at night.
  • All offices and guest houses must be locked at night and the keys kept on a specific rack known by direct supervisor and for the guest house all staff living over there and keys shouldn’t be left on the doors.
  • Guards are responsible to ensure that vehicles are properly parked and not blocking the exit gates in Parking area.
  • All gates should be locked at a designated time determined by the Area Coordinator.
  • Guards should not sleep while on duty and should remain alert at all times.
  • Guards are responsible to conduct regular checks of the perimeter fencing within the ACTED premises.
  • Responsible over security of ACTED’s premises and equipment.
  • It is not allowed to leave the post during working hours unless authorized by direct supervisor/Line Manager.
  • Ensure and checking that all the window and doors is locked when staff leaves the premises.
  • Report any unusual event, problems or object missing to ACTED in charge staff immediately
  • In case of any emergency, property damage, theft or robbery, contact the police and inform supervisor and senior staff immediately.
  • If any person is injured on the premises, contact with hospital and inform immediately to supervisor and senior staff.
  • Ensure that no unauthorized person, i.e. anybody not employed by ACTED, enters the office compound without prior permission.
  • To turn on and turn off the generator when the electricity stops and maintain generator log book.
  • Provide any support for the good functioning of ACTED opearaions whenever requested by ACTED Management.
  • Maintain the visitor log book.
  • Any other duty assigned by the direct supervisor.

Pillar 3 – Social cohesion and access to basic services – ACTED improves access to basic services through a range of measures including support for educational institutions, community infrastructure and local governance. Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups;
Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation. Interventions start at a household level, such as construction of fuel efficient
