The Division

The Position

We are seeking a strong Intermediate or Sr. SQA Analyst having experience and expertise in manual testing, to ensure new and existing Jonas Club Software products meet design specifications and are within quality limits and standards. Whenever possible, the QA Analyst will be involved early in the development stages of projects; for their input, understanding of client requirements and, the impact of such implementation on the overall integrity of the software. The candidate must also possess strong knowledge of Accounting or Accounting Applications. The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team.

Mandate

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the core responsibilities of the position are to:

• Plan, schedule, and implement testing projects.


• Define test objectives.


• Write and update test scripts.


• Perform functional, application, regression, and performance tests.


• Liaison with product developers and technical support specialists regarding product issues.


• Maintain up to date documentation.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.


• Minimum 5 years of professional testing experience with customer-facing enterprise applications.


• Hands-on testing experience with Desktop and Web-based applications.


• Understanding of accounting/accounting applications.


• Hands-on knowledge/experience of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, APIs etc.


• Good working knowledge of Windows functionality and relational databases (i.e. MS SQL) Windows .NET technologies an asset.


• Well versed in writing/executing SQL queries.


• Strong software quality advocate.


• Familiar with software lifecycle and quality assurance concepts.


• Strong problem-solving skills.


• Self-motivated and innovative team player – can take change and drive change.


• Effective (English) verbal and written communication skills.


• Excellent organizational skills.


• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, research new techniques in relation to the profession of Quality Assurance.
