IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 30 years, and manages and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary: The person will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Program Development Manager and provide support in development of concepts and proposals, tracking potential funding opportunities that further IRC Pakistan’s Country Program Strategic Plan, program/ sector specific capacity statements and the relevant program sector strategies.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Under the mentorship of Senior Program Development Manager, identify and track new business opportunities.
  • Assist Senior Program Development Manager in preparing opportunity analysis for Internal Go/No-Go process and document feedback from all SMT members
  • Draft timelines for the proposal/concept note development and ensures proposal development checklist is followed Assist Senior Program Development Manager in proposal development through collecting secondary data on sector- specific needs, contextual analysis, stakeholder analysis
  • Acquire and disseminate updated information regarding donor formats (concept note and proposal) and other donors’ related information.
  • Assist in organizing meetings for proposal development when required. Preparing meeting minutes and action points.
  • Ensure that exemplar dedications at the design stage are addressed and documented for each proposal/concept note
  • Support Senior Program Development Manager to keep OTIS workflow up to date, review OTIS opportunities and upload all related documents
  • Maintain and update opportunity tracker regularly
  • Support Senior Program Development Manager in maintaining donors’ scoping/mapping and donors’ engagement plan up to date
  • Work with dedication, integrity and accountability to the “IRC Way” – Global Standards for Professional Conduct.
  • Perform other duties, including administrative, as necessary and/or as requested.

Job Requirements:

Education:  Master degree in Social Sciences, or relevant field.

Work Experience: At least 1 (one) years of work experience on similar role

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with budgeting using MS Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills and competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent drafting skills in English.
  • Clear and precise writing style.
  • Logical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of logical framework,

Language Skills:  Good written and spoken English and Urdu skills;
