Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality and persuasive content for ecommerce product descriptions, category pages, blog posts, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and product management to ensure content aligns with brand voice and objectives.
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience to create relevant and informative content.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive traffic to product pages.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Stay updated on ecommerce best practices, content trends, and emerging technologies to continually improve content strategies.
- Monitor content performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Adhere to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Ecommerce Content Writer or similar role, preferably in the ecommerce industry.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and content management systems (CMS), such as Shopify, Ebay, Amazon
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative content strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Portfolio of previous writing samples demonstrating ecommerce content expertise is highly desirable.
