Job Description:

Costing Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed costing analyses for products and services.
  • Identify cost drivers and contribute to cost optimization strategies.

Cost Accounting:

  • Oversee cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain cost records and allocate expenses appropriately.

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform financial analyses to support decision-making.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and variances.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the budgeting process for cost-related elements.
  • Contribute to accurate financial forecasts.

Cost Reduction Initiatives:

  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline operational costs.

Profitability Analysis:

  • Analyse product/service profitability and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business strategies.

Variance Analysis:

  • Conduct variance analysis for costs and expenses.
  • Investigate and report on significant variances.

Corporate Finance Support:

  • Provide support in corporate finance activities.
  • Assist in capital budgeting and investment analysis.

Financial Reporting:

  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in cost-related reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost-related matters.
  • Communicate financial insights to non-finance teams.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in costing and analysis.
  • Implement efficiency enhancements.

Risk Management:

  • Assess financial risks associated with cost structures.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards in cost-related activities.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations.

Internal Controls:

  • Implement and monitor internal controls for cost accounting.
  • Address any control deficiencies.
