The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.

Shifa Foundation also participates in the Inter Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme, Misconduct Disclosure Scheme — SCHR. Background
The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) aims to reduce child morbidity and mortality through timely vaccination against preventable diseases. Despite progress, several Union Councils (UCs) still face low immunization coverage due to systemic gaps in planning, monitoring, and community engagement. This consultancy seeks to strengthen the Shifa Foundation EPI initiative by providing technical support in planning, data analysis, monitoring, and capacity building at the district level.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
A. Technical Support for Planning and Development
- Technical backstopping to SF in implementation of immunization program in Karachi East,
- Assist in the development of comprehensive EPI plans for targeted UCs, including outreach and mobile services.
- Ensure integration of gender and equity considerations into the SF program implementation of EPI with the support of Gavi.
- Assist team in targeting zero dose children, referral, and data analysis.
- Assist project team in monitoring and supervision tools, formats, SOPs and guidelines.
B. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Design/improve tools and mechanisms for monitoring EPI performance (e.g., coverage, drop-out rates, cold chain efficiency).
- Conduct field visits to assess EPI service delivery and identify gaps.
- Support health staff in implementing effective supervision and feedback mechanisms.
C. Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze project EPI data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly analytical reports with recommendations.
- Present findings to district stakeholders, EPI teams, and development partners.
