Job Description: |
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Shopify CRO & UX Lead to join our rapidly expanding e-commerce team. This key position is responsible for increasing the conversion rate, average order value (AOV), and customer experience across our direct-to-consumer (DTC) Shopify storefront. You’ll develop conversion optimization strategies, execute landing page experiments, and implement UX enhancements that directly impact our revenue growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Within the first 90 days, you will be expected to:
Build and execute a detailed 90-day CRO roadmap with clear targets on improving conversion rate, AOV, and customer journey metrics.
Design, launch, and continuously optimize Shopify landing pages and product funnels using GemPages, Shogun, or similar page builders.
Implement a systematic A/B testing schedule (minimum 4 tests/month) leveraging Google Optimize, Convert, or VWO to validate UX, pricing, and design hypotheses.
Utilize analytical tools (GA4, Hotjar, Triple Whale) to identify friction points in the user journey and recommend actionable solutions to improve conversion.
Collaborate closely with Performance Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, and Creative teams to align landing pages, messaging, and promotional campaigns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years proven experience in CRO and UX design specifically within Shopify Plus environments.
Proficiency in front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, and Liquid (basic JavaScript is a plus).
Strong experience with A/B testing methodologies, statistical significance, and test planning.
Advanced analytics skills including experience with GA4, Hotjar, post-purchase surveys, and funnel visualization.
Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proactive, self-starter who thrives working remotely and can independently lead critical optimization initiatives.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
Prior experience working within fast-growth DTC e-commerce brands generating ≥ $1MM/month in revenue.
Familiarity integrating Shopify with CRO and personalization tools such as Rebuy, Zipify, Alloy, or similar apps.
Experience in SEO best practices, ADA compliance, and mobile-first responsive design.
Working knowledge of advanced analytics platforms like Triple Whale or Northbeam for improved attribution tracking.
What Success Looks Like
Shopify store-wide conversion rate increases from ~2.2% baseline to ≥ 3.0% within the first 90 days.
Site speed optimization resulting in average mobile load speeds of under 2.8 seconds (LCP).
Continuous A/B testing with at least four completed experiments per month, clearly documented and actionable.
Demonstrable incremental revenue lift from CRO-driven initiatives (≥ $15,000/month within 90 days).
